Indigo Girls on Late Night with Seth Meyers – May 8th!

Catch the folk icons performing there new single, “What We Wanna Be” from the musical film, Glitter & Doom

May 8, 2024: Folk icons Indigo Girls will be live Wednesday, May 8, on Late Night With Seth Meyers; the show broadcasts on NBC affiliates at 12:35 AM EDT and will be archived online. The duo will be interviewed and perform their new single, “What We Wanna Be,” from the jukebox musical romance Glitter & Doom. The film, directed by Tom Gustafson (Were the World Mine, Frameline32), boasts a star-studded queer supporting cast featuring Lea DeLaria, Tig Notaro, Kate Pierson of The B-52s, RuPaul’s Drag Race alum Peppermint, and even a cameo from the Indigo Girls themselves.

It’s safe to say the Indigo Girls are having a moment. While 2023 saw Grammy-winning duo’s iconic song “Closer to Fine” featured prominently in Greta Gerwig’s hit film Barbie, 2024 finds the Indigo Girls and their music in two films: Glitter & Doom and their acclaimed documentary feature, Indigo Girls: It’s Only Life After All, directed by Alexandria Bombach. After a limited theatrical release the film is now available through VOD, with a wide release on streaming services later this year. Indigo Girls: It’s Only Life After All has screened at major festivals across the globe in 2023, including Sundance Film Festival, Tribeca Festival, SXSW, and Toronto’s Hot Docs.

The duo has also announced co-billed tours with both Amos Lee and Melissa Etheridge playing their biggest tour venues in 25 years, with stops at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, Red Rocks, Wolf Trap and more.
