North Carolina roots rockers Yarn will release a new album, Saturday Night Sermon, on April 24 via 333 Entertainment. The band offered the first taste of the record with the single “Good Things.”
Forged in New York City barrooms at the end of the aughts, Yarn’s latest single sees the band playing to their strengths with Glide Magazine describing “Good Things” as “bluesy boozy rock and roll swagger with outlaw country and Memphis soul.”
Yarn frontman Blake Christiana detailed the track further.
“‘Good Things’ is all about gratitude,” he stated. “Ray Wylie Hubbard always says, ‘When your gratitude exceeds your expectations, that is a good day.’ With that in mind I threw away all my negative thoughts and self pity and I wrote this song because the truth of it is, our life is only as good as our reaction to it. And Yarn is pretty damn blessed with a whole lot of ‘Good Things.’”
